Vet II

Baby me sleeping

Well they ran all the typical test plus the stool sample. It turns out I had Coccidia. It is an intestinal parasitic infection. When in Cats it most often affects kittens. Your standard worming treatment will not treat this. So all though I had been wormed it didn’t help. I needed a specific medicine that Mom had to give me regularly for a week. It was nasty too. 😦 Mom still have it to me every day!

Sleeping in 'Mom's' bed

I slept with Mom every night I was sick. I had diarrhea really badly! Sometimes I couldn’t make it to the litter box! Then when I did it would get all over my furry pants. You know what that ment right? Baths and lots of them. Sometimes just my bottom and sometimes full baths. I was also getting it all over Mom’s bedding so she had to wash frequently.

After one of my baths

One night I curled upon Mom’s head. It made me feel comfortable and safe. Mom woke up and it was all in her hair! Oh Mom was horrified! She said if me getting that on her doesn’t prove her love she doesn’t know what will! Being so young and tiny it took a lot out of me. I mad it though! All with Mom’s help and that nasty medicine! I went back to the vet about a week later and they did another stool sample ( 😦  )and it was all clear! Yay!! I felt much better.

First Vet visit

image

On the way to the vet

Ok Mom got me from the breeder on her only day off from work. She didn’t get to vet me right away. Anyway about a week or so, I can’t remember, Mom started nothing that I had loose stool. This worried her very much. It was uncomfortable for me as well. One day Mom came home from work and her lady roommate said she saw blood in my loose stool. Oh no Mom freaked and called the vet right away!

The vet agreed to see me soon and Mom and her lady roommate brought me. I was less than enthusiastic and wasn’t feeling top notch either. Exhibit B:

Riding in mom's purse to the vet

I can’t fit in Mom’s purse anymore. Well we arrived at the vet. All the techs and the veterinarian fell in love with me. They said I was beautiful and the veterinarian said she had always wanted a Ragdoll so was excited to see me. They said they had to take my picture and put it up on their Facebook:

My first Vet visit

I was famous, for a little while. The vet’s office later told Mom all kinds of people were calling in to find out where they could get a kitty like me. Mom told them where she had gotten me. Mom follows the breeder’s page on Facebook and there was a good number of adoptions in our area after that.

Back to the visit. They did all the routine checking and a stool sample, I was so not into that! Till next time.

Luna Bear

Luna in "her spot"

Mom’s nickname for Luna is Luna Bear incase you were wondering about my title. Well Luna has decided she was taking over Mom’s bed. Yesterday and today. She set herself in the same spot both days and never moved till dinner time! MOL Plus she adores plush blankets and mom swears she has a sixth sense for plush blankets and clean cloths and can find them anywhere in the house!

Poor sisfur, she should have stayed there. Mom’s lady roommate was getting man roommate his diabetes shot out of the fridge.Β  Luna was enjoying her dinner. Mom heard a scream! OMC Mom said she has never heard Luna scream like that! Poor Luna her tail had gotten in between the crack in the door and when Mom’s lady roommate closed the door it caught her tail! 😦 Mom checked on her. Her tail was sore but not bent and she was still flipping it. Today Mom checked it again and it is OK, we are happy about that. πŸ˜€ Luckily it got squished but not caught in the door.

Come on Mom! It is treat time!

You know I get grumpy when I don't get my nightly treats!

I will see if I can get my typist to tell my first vet visit story tomorrow. See y’all later!

Meeting my Family

Well Mom came a picked me up on February 10, 2013. If you remember I told you it was about an hour and a half away. I am not fond of car rides at all. So the whole way there I was meowing and climbing all over mom. We arrived at the new house and I was so nervous! There was these two furry creatures that didn’t look like me and were HUGE! They turned out to be my doggie siblings. They scared me and were jumping all over the place excited. Mom then brought me to my room (I let her think it is her room) it was to be my safe place.

The two huge creatures Jasper and Arabelle

Later Mom brought Luna in to meet me. I was nervous and she did not like me! She hissed and I ran under the bed. This was pretty much how our meetings went for a while. She was interested in me and I in her but we didn’t know what to make of each other. Slowly we got to know each other. She is now my best friend. We love each other. Mom said I was good for Luna. She was always a bit distant and didn’t play much or want to be petted or loved and she has become warmer since we became close. Mom said she will forever be grateful for that. It gives Luna a better quality of life. Luv ya!

How I met my Mother

I am doing a first, but since my blog is fresh that isn’t difficult, two post in one day! Well since it is Mother’s Day it seems apt to tell how we met. As we sit together outside I will tell you. Well I was born an hour and a half away from where I live now. Mom desperately wanted to visit me but she said gas prices are crazy and it would be difficult to pay gas for two trips in her ‘gas guzzler’ well mom got lucky! Her roommate had a doctor’s appointment not too far from where I was born! Mom made sure to get the day off of work and she went with her roommate. She called the breeder and asked to come see me, the breeder said she was available for visiting.

Mom came over, after a few wrong turns MOL. She got out excited as could be and knocked on the door. The lady brought her back to where we were with our birth mom. There were three of us in my litter 2 female and 1 male. The male and I were both born with the bi-color pattern. The breeder told mom to pick me out. She wad pretty sure of which one was me, but we wouldn’t turn around so she could see our faces as that is all she saw in pictures! She was right! I guess a mom always knows her baby right? Mom said she felt like she was having a baby MOL. Me on the other hand I was scared. She grabbed me and took me away from my fur mom and litter mates, all that I had known. I was four weeks old at the time. She wanted to show one of her roommates who is disabled and couldn’t walk in the house. So she brought me to this big metal thing I now know is a car. I was frightened. I was out in the open with nothing familiar. She said leaving me behind was hard but she knew for my health I had to wait till I was two months. She left me and on February 10, 2013 she came back for me. Well guy till next time! Luv ya!

Jasper and his fur

I also wanted to share with you, Mom brushed Jasper today and we could have had a whole nother doggie with all that fur! That isn’t even all that came off in the photo because the wind was blowing. It has been stormy here a couple days. Luv ya!

Happy Mother’s Day

image

Happy Mother's Day Mom

Happy Mother’s day to all the mom’s out there! If you don’t have a human family anf you have fur babies, you are still a mom! It isn’t your ability to give birth, it is your ability to love and care for your babies.  So happy Mother’s day to you!!

image

Luna wishes everyone a Happy Mother's Day!

I told Dezi that I would share a picture of my birth dad. Previously I showed my mom, whom I got my looks from. So now I show my dad. Birth mom and I are bi-colors and look alike, birth dad is a mitted point.
